Be a hero. This is my philosophy in life.

Be a person who makes a difference in the world… a positive force to everyone you meet.

I am Scott, aka “Scotto The Great”(to my dogs and wife), photographer extraordinaire and owner of Scott Steger Studios, based in Western North Carolina. My professional passion is architectural and real estate photography, and I have a slight obsession with time-lapse photography videos.

I grew up in St. Louis Missouri in the shadow of the Gateway Arch, loving the Midwest but longing for sunshine through the bleak winters. At eight years old, my creative hunger was ignited when I won $50.00 worth of coupons to McDonald’s for drawing the best Santa Claus. Since then I have grown, both literally and figuratively, to learn myriad skills related to image production–creating photographs and videos that tickle the eyeballs and stir the soul (or, at least, help sell the product.) The camera is my tool and imagery is my craft. I'm an FAA Certified sUAS (drone) pilot who flies every chance I get, because it is amazing to explore the world from a new vantage point.

When I'm not working or getting my butt kicked at Jiu Jitsu, I'm chilling with our rescue dogs Smoky and Nala. I’m also famous (in our kitchen) for making a mean guacamole, in case you’re interested in challenging me to a guac-off.

Whether it’s real estate photography, time-lapse photography videos, headshots or pooch portraits you seek, I am your man. Give me the chance to show you what I can do, and hopefully I’ll be your hero too.
